A Year in Photos

Happy New Year!

How was your 2019? I just wrapped up a daily challenge of taking a short video each day using the 1 Second Everyday app. I quickly discovered that I had similar feelings about the project as when I took a photo each day in 2016. Some days I loved it, some days I was annoyed with it, and other days I completely forgot to do it.

At the beginning of the year, I thought I had endless ideas for putting together little snippets of my life, then it eventually became more of a chore. On vacations or weekend adventures, I took more video clips than I needed and allowed them to spill over into the following week. And then during the last two months, I was sad that the project was coming to an end.

I won’t bore you with a 6+ minute video, but I would like to show you my favorite photos from 2019, photos I shot alongside the videos. Not all the photos are good, some I can instantly see what I could’ve done to make the image better, but they all come with great memories and that’s what’s important.

  1. Great photos from lots of spots I consider local. That last one from Faith Valley (off the Blue Lakes Road) with Markleeville Peak and the Nipple in the background are outstanding. Nice work, Katie!!
