Winter in Michigan can be freezing, isolating, and dark, but it’s also serene and filled with beauty. Surprisingly, seeing how the light affects the landscape is most noticeable in the winter than in any other season. Matt and I are staying in Nevada for Christmas this year, so I put this post together as a tribute to Michigan winters.
Below you will see a collection of photos taken over the last six years. Some were taken on walks where we forced ourselves outside for exercise, some when we were purposely looking for beautiful details, and others where I bundled up and ran out the door because the light was too incredible not to capture.
Enjoy! (And stay warm!)
