As promised, here are some photos of the wildflowers we saw in Death Valley at the beginning of March.  Let’s get to it!

No wildflowers here, but the water was flowing at Darwin Falls.

If you go, check the wildflower update on the park website.  All the current hot spots are listed.  If you plan to take photographs, a wide angle lens is good for the sweeping landscapes, but a telephoto lens would be helpful to compress the flowers a bit.  Every time we’d reach a thick cluster of flowers, my wide angle lens kind of spread things out and didn’t exactly capture what we saw.  Also, bring a macro lens if you’re into getting those intricate details.
