Matt and I just got back from checking out the super bloom in Death Valley National Park. And blooming it is! At least at the south end of the park. This shot was taken from Badwater Road near Artists Drive. I’ll have more photos next week.
But in the meantime… If you plan on visiting Death Valley soon, the Greenwater Valley currently looks like it’s about to explode with a variety of colorful wildflowers. I’d recommend checking it out. And if you like to camp, there are dispersed (no water, no bathrooms, no fires, and very few people) campsites along the dirt road that runs through the (Greenwater) valley. That looks like an ideal place to be compared to the busyness of many of the other campgrounds. (I would love to sit on a camp chair among the wildflowers, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee in hand. Sounds heavenly to me.)
