Michigan Love

Hey friends,

Can you believe we’re 20 days in to 2016?  How are you guys doing on your resolutions/challenges/changes (if you set out to do these things)?  I am determined to shoot a photo a day this year.  Already it’s been a tiny bit intimidating, but it’s also fun and inspiring.

When I was in Michigan during the last week of December, I was shooting every day because a) I was having so much fun with my family, and b) I was trying to get into the daily shooting habit before my challenge officially started.  When we landed in Detroit on Christmas Day, it was sunny and warm, as it had been for weeks.  A couple days later came the snow, and the ice, and the wind.  And it never really stopped.  Despite all of this (and the overcast skies and brown, leafless trees), I know there is always beauty to be found.  Always.
