Photo of the Week: Belvedere Palace, Vienna

2015-10-28 BelvedereThe Upper Belvedere is one of two beautiful palaces built in the 18th century as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy.  Now a museum, the Upper Belvedere houses the largest collection of Gustav Klimt’s work.  There are also paintings that date back to the middle ages and contemporary art too.

I loved wandering through this museum because many of the rooms and halls and frescoes have been preserved, so as you’re admiring the art on the walls, you’re getting a very good tour of the palace as well.
